He had a standout campaign, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in the Premier League.Despite missing 15 matches due to injury, Guimaraes made significant contributions to the team, including a late winner against Fulham and goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Leeds.

His 17 goal involvements were a career high, matching his previous best from the 2023-24 season.

Guimaraes joins a group of recent winners of the Newcastle United Player of the Year award, including Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon, Kieran Trippier, and Joelinton.
